Description

Jessica Marcy & heather love invite you on a journey through the darkness of winter to ignite your creative fire for the season and year ahead. You are invited into a supportive circle to nourish yourself over the course of three intimate Sunday gatherings in February.

During our sessions together, we will practice deep listening to connect to the landscape, current season, and elemental knowledge. By tending our roots, we will also cultivate creative projects and use storytelling and mythology to create new visions for the year ahead.

The month of February is named after the Latin term februum, which means “purification” and represents a time of cleansing from winter’s heaviness. It is a powerful threshold between the slumber of winter and the initial stirrings of spring. During our sessions, we will tap into winter as a time of deep listening, dreaming, and inner creative work while moving towards the warmth and light of new creative beginnings.

We begin on Imbolc, the Celtic fire festival that marks the halfway point between winter solstice and the spring equinox and celebrates the Earth’s awakening and rebirth. We will learn about the mythology of the Cailleach, the ancient creator of the Celtic lands, and Brigid, the Celtic goddess connected to Imbolc, fire, and creativity.

We will also explore how mythology and archetypes across cultures can inform our understanding of the present and storytelling can help us envision new visions for the future.

Meetings will occur over Zoom at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 18h CET on:

1 February
8 February
22 February

Please come with something to write with and any creative tools you desire.
